In 1999, David took a bold step that defied convention. In the high-altitude village of Elvillar, he planted a vineyard dedicated to Graciano—a long lifecycle grape. While this variety was traditionally reserved for warmer regions of Rioja, his neighbors doubted the vines would ever ripen in Elvillar’s cooler climate.

But David had the foresight to recognize the changing climate and the longer summers we are now experiencing. Understanding the need to adapt for the future, he dedicated himself to cultivating resilient, long-cycle varieties like Graciano. Over the last 25 years, this insight has guided our commitment, with all new plantations focused on these exceptional grapes.

This wine is crafted from these younger Graciano vines, offering a monovarietal expression of Elvillar’s unique terroirs. Its vibrant character mirrors the land—a fresh and spicy wine with a light body and bright acidity, capturing the spirit of innovation and respect for nature’s rhythms.
